Will Seymore has signed with New Mexico United in the USL Championship.

The American announced his departure from Finn Harps on his Twitter before Christmas, having scored twice in 33 league appearances, calling his year at Harps “easily the best year” of his career so far.

The 29-year-old came to Ireland in 2019 when he signed for Sligo Rovers, helping them qualify for European football by finishing 4th in the Covid hit half season of 2020, before he joined Finn Harps at the beginning of 2021.

New Mexico United Head Coach/Technical Director Zach Prince said: “The way Will covers ground makes him a dynamic addition to our midfield group.

“His energy, coupled with his ability to make the opponent work with his range of passing is going to make him an exciting addition to our group.”
