Stephen McLaughlin was on target as his Mansfield Town side held on for an important three points against fellow League Two promotion hopefuls Swindon Town.
The formers Finn Harps and Derry City man scored a penalty to put his side 2-1 up after George Maris opened the scoring for The Stags but Harry McKirdy equalised for Swindon.
Jordan Bowery made it 3-1 and Mansfield were given a late scare when Ellis Iandolo made it 3-2 with minutes to go but they held on for the win.
It’s the 31-year-olds 3rd goal in 4 league games as Mansfield have won 8 of their last 9 in the competition.
The Isle of Doagh man has started all but 1 league game this season and will be hoping both him and his side can continue this form as they fight for promotion to League One.
Mansfield are currently in 8th place, just outside of the play-off spot on goal difference.
