New Finn Harps signing Yoyo Mahdy got his first goal for the club in a 2-0 friendly win against Treaty United.

The game was played behind closed doors in Abbotstown as the Donegal side were victors in the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

The game looked to be heading towards a draw until Mahdy opened the scoring in the final 10 minutes before an unnamed trialist sealed the victory for Ollie Horgan’s side.

Mahdy was announced during the week having signed from Shelbourne. He scored 4 goals in 16 First Division games last season as Shelbourne won the league.

Finn Harps play Cork City in a friendly next Saturday in Dublin as they gear up for the start of the Premier Division season, which begins on the 18th January as they host Drogheda United
