Gardaí are investigating two separate car fires which were believed to be started deliberately outside homes in Donegal last week.
Both incidents are being treated as criminal damage.
The first occurred in Letterkenny, in the Ballymacool estate. A car was set on fire in The Green area on Thursday last at around 1.30am. A local resident was wakened by the notice and discovered their car was on fire.
Fire services attended the scene and put out the blaze, but the car was substantially damaged.
Gardaí are also probing a similar incident in Moville. A car was parked in the driveway outside a home at Ard Na Guala Duibhe, when it was set alight in the early hours of Sunday morning. Gardaí and the fire services attended the scene.
