Conor Orr had just the one ride at the Down Royal meeting yesterday but he came away with a win as he rode 20/1 shot Bythesametoken to victory.
The Rathmullan man sat the Ross O’Sullivan trained horse at the back of the 10 horse field for the first mile of the race before slowly picking off the field one by one.
There was three in a line at the second last fence and Bythesametoken jumped the last a length behind the favourite Delvino, as Ujumpthelastuwin ironically fell.
Orr quickly got to work on Bythesametoken and they finished strong to win by just over a length.
