Covid has been a dirty word for many of us for far too long.
But one Donegal bar turned any mention of the virus to its advantage.
In fact, the lads at Killea’s Alt Bar have managed to raise a whopping €4,225 for the Donegal Hospice thanks to Covid.
Management at the bar including Chris Moore had enough of the doom and gloom of Covid and banned any talk of he pandemic.
In fact, anybody who dared speak its name were fined €2 with all the funds going into a jar behind the bar.
The idea caught on and the money rolled in.
Others simply donated to the cause thinking it was a great idea.
Last weekend the guys counted their tally which exceeded all their expectations and gave the Donegal Hospice a much lifted lift.
Take a bow guys for a great idea and following it through.
