Letterkenny Rovers under-17s suffered heartbreak as they lost in the last 16 of the FAI Centenary Cup.

The Donegal side did brilliant to make it to this stage of the competition but lost out 2-1 after extra time to Newmarket Celtic.

Rovers travelled down to Clare yesterday to take on Newmarket Celtic and went 1-0 down when Che Sheedy scored for the Clare side.

Sam Harvey equalised and the game went to extra-time but Adam Cusack scored what would turn out to be the winner for the hosts.
