Noreen Bonner finished second as she led the Irish Women’s Masters team home to gold at the European Championships in Braga.
The Finn Valley athlete finished in 31.15 in the 8km cross country race to take silver in the W65 category, 14 seconds behind Spain’s Marcelina Hernaiz Del Campo.
Fellow Finn Valley athlete Kay Byrne was just 7 seconds off a medal in her W55 category race, finishing fourth.
Meanwhile, Mark Connolly finished 18th in the mens event.
All three athletes have track events to come later in the week also.
