Join LYIT’s Academic and Student Support Team for the Spring Open Day 2022, online and in person on Saturday 5th March.

Whether you are about to take the Leaving Certificate, currently unemployed, interested in part-time study, or thinking of studying on one of the many Postgraduate programmes available at Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), be sure to attend the LYIT’s Spring Open Day which takes place on-campus from 10am to 2pm Saturday 5th March.

For the Leaving Certificate student, LYIT offers 54 CAO programmes, ¾ of these programmes offer a work placement opportunity, many of which can be taken abroad. LYIT offers a vibrant student experience, with a variety of clubs, societies, and sporting activities to choose from.

If you are interested in studying a Postgraduate or Masters programme, then LYIT has more than 30 programmes to choose from; programmes that will enhance your skills and take you to next level in your career.

During the event, LYIT’s experienced academic and student support staff will be on hand to answer prospective students’ questions and queries. The event will include a series of scheduled talks and students considering LYIT in their CAO course choices 2022 are encouraged to attend this event. LYIT’s Student Ambassador Team will be on campus offering campus tours and iRadio will be on site doing a live broadcast to promote this Spring Open Day event.

It’s an exciting time of change at LYIT, as LYIT becomes Atlantic Technological University (ATU) with partners IT Sligo and GMIT on Friday 1st April.

Billy Bennett, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Registrar commented, “This event is significant as it provides prospective students with the opportunity to connect face-to-face with LYIT’s experienced academic and student support staff. Like so many organisations, LYIT has been unable to meet with prospective students due to Covid-19 restrictions, however, this event provides incoming students with the chance to explore LYIT’s facilities and find out more about what LYIT has. If you are thinking about studying at LYIT in 2022 then be sure to attend this on-campus event.”

LYIT will host a series of talks during this event, these talks will also be live streamed on LYIT’s website and YouTube platforms during the scheduled times below:

  • 10.30am (Room 1101): Becoming Atlantic Technological University
