Donegal Under-16 ladies were defeated by Monaghan in the Ulster U-16 Ladies Championship Round 1 Tier 1 clash in Lifford on Sunday.

Donegal faced an uphill battle at half-time to mount a comeback as they were 2-5 to 0-3 down at the break.
Bronagh Butler’s penalty gave the side hope as she scored 1-4 in the second half but a Monaghan goal sealed the victory for the visitors.
