The HSE has recently completed the purchase of a €300,000 house and lands in the east of the county.

The five-bedroom home is set on 3.3 acres at Cavan Lower, Killygordon, just off the main N15 Stranorlar to Lifford road.

It is located less than a mile from Stranorlar.

Local auctioneer, Martin McGowan Properties, had the property on the market with a €335,000 asking price.

The HSE has recently erected ‘No Trespassing’ signs on the gates of the house.

The red brick home, set on a large level site with mature trees and shrubs includes a study, three bathrooms, three reception rooms and stables.

“This property has space in abundance, both inside and out – rarely does such a fine residence come to the market,” the sales literature stated.
