Rian O’Neill has been hit with a proposed one-match ban which would see him miss Armagh’s Ulster SFC quarter-final clash with Donegal, according to RTÉ.
The forward, who was vital in Armagh’s wins over Dublin and Tyrone in the league, has been cited following the suspensions given to five other players following the after match bust up between Donegal and Armagh players in the last game of the league campaign.
Odhran McFadden-Ferry and Neil McGee were the Donegal pair that were banned, which Donegal have accepted.
O’Neill becomes the 4th Armagh player suspended after Stefan Campbell, Aidan Nugent and Ciaran Mackin all were named in the referees report after the game. Armagh are likely to appeal the decision
