Donoughmore National School presented a cheque for €2,800 to the North West Cancer Centre after their successful daffodil walk fundraiser in March.

Families were invited along for a daffodil picking walk at Smith’s Farm in Lifford, and children got to see the Smith’s alpacas and baby calves.

A grand total of €5,602 was raised, with half going to the charity and the other half raised for the school itself.

Rachelle McMenamin of the Sperrin Unit of the North West Cancer Centre was on hand to pick up the generous cheque from some of the pupils and staff of the Liscooley school.
