Darkness Into Light events planned across Donegal this Saturday

Communities across Donegal are getting ready for Saturday May 7th as Pieta’s annual Darkness Into Light fundraising events return.

Darkness Into Light, proudly supported by Electric Ireland, will take place at sunrise in several locations across Donegal. . Participants meet before dawn (4:15am) and walk or run for 5 km to meet the sunrise.

A spokesperson for Pieta said: “By taking part in Darkness Into Light this year, every walk, every run, every sunrise shared becomes an act of hope and a powerful light against the darkness of suicide.

“If you can’t join us on the day you can still support or donate by visiting www.darknessintolight.ie . Thanks to your support over the years has been able to provide one-to-one therapy to more than 26,000 people across Ireland. Funds raised will be used for Pieta’s life-saving work in therapy and support services for those impacted by suicide. “
