Pictures: Claire McGuigan is ‘first lady’ in Strabane-Lifford Half Marathon

Kyle Doherty, City of Derry Spartans , was the winner of this morning’s Strabane-Lifford half marathon.

Doherty (man pic) crossed the line in one hour, 11 minutes and 40 seconds.

Sligo AC’s Seamus Somers was second in 1:13:12 with John McElhill of Finn Valley AC third in 1:13:40.

First woman to cross the line was Lifford-Strabane AC’s Claire McGuigan.

Lifford-Strabane AC’s Claire McGuigan and Linda McGrath came in first and third respectively in the women’s race.

McGuigan finished in an impressive 1:18:58 and McGrath was third in 1:28:25, beaten to silver by Gemma McGinty, the City of Derry Spartans who came in at 1:26:29.

A massive 865 participants finished the race.
