Hollywood ‘saints’ Liam Neeson and Ciarán Hinds lifted the hearts of Ukrainian refugee children and their families this week.

The pair are currently in south west Donegal filming the blockbuster ‘In The Land Of Saints And Sinners.’

When they heard there were over 80 women and children from war-torn Ukraine staying in Killybegs, they wanted to pay them a visit.

Hollywood stars Liam Neeson and Ciaran Hinds address the Ukrainian children and their mums in the Niall Mor Centre.

Their representatives contacted Donegal Local Development Company (DLDC) who are helping refugee families in the fishing port.

“They heard some of our team were supporting Ukrainian families in the area, and said Liam and Ciarán wanted to meet with the Ukrainian families and give the children a gift.  We happily obliged,” a DLDC spokesperson said.

Delighted Ukrainian and their mothers.

The Niall Mór Centre in Killybegs was delighted to host the event and 80 Ukrainian women and children came along, and it was a very emotional and heart-warming event.

“A huge thanks to Liam and Ciarán for their time and generosity,” the spokesperson added.
