Donegal jockey Luke McAteer returned to winning ways at Leopardstown yesterday as he won on 12/1 shot Yerwanthere.
The Patrick Foley trained filly impressed on her debut start, picking off her rivals from the back in this seven furlong card opener.
The Rathmullan jockey held Yerwanthere towards the rear for the first half of the race, before flying past their competition to lead with two furlongs remaining, and extending their lead from 13/8 favourite Sareeha in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Maiden.
Meanwhile in England, Martin Harley has picked up two wins this week.
The Letterkenny native first won on Monday at Windsor on 7/1 shot Liverpool Knight eased to a three and a quarter length victory over their nearest rival.
He followed that up with a victory at Yarmouth for John Gosden on 1/2 favourite Far Shot.
