A video of a powerful poem by a well-known local man has been selected for screening at a number of prestigious festivals at home and abroad.

‘Borderland’ was penned by Seamus McDermott, from Convoy, about his experience of growing up along the frontier between Donegal and the North.

His son, and business partner Jim, brought the poem to life through his video production skills.

The result – the five minute long film was selected for showing at a number of film festivals.

These included the famous Bloomsday Festival in Dublin as well as at the Reels International Poetry Festival in Houston, Texas.
