Donegal County Council staff have been praised for their work reinstating a faded roundabout at Glencar Letterkenny.
The roundabout is visible once more, thanks to recent lining works which were sought a week ago by Mayor Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly. The roundabout at the junction on Glencar road had faded to near “non-existence”, prompting a motion to be raised by Cllr Kelly at the June Municipal District Meeting.
Mayor Kelly said today: “I’m delighted this morning to see the works have been carried out and the safety concerns have now been addressed and the Roundabout has been reinstated.
“I’d like to thank our Roads Executive David Mc Elwaine and the maintenance/ lining crews for acting fast and addressing this is for all motorists and road users especially coming into the busy summer months.”
