The Finn Wheelers “Turtle Group” are making great strides on day three of their Malin to Mizen Challenge in aid of Donegal Hospice.
The leisure cyclists set off from Cork on Wednesday 29th June, and are pedalling the entire length of Ireland to reach Malin Head by Sunday 3rd July.
Today is their first day of heavy rain, but they are not phased, as they rally on to raise funds for Donegal Hospice. The group conquered 150km today and are stopping over in Carrick on Shannon tonight.
The fundraiser was inspired by the incredible care offered by the Hospice. Many of the participants have had family, friends and neighbours who have required the services of the Hospice over the years.
The group wishes to thank ‘Bonner Tractors’, ‘Hugh Boyle Power Flushing’ and ‘Donegal Recovery Services’ for their sponsorship of jerseys for the cycle.
The progress of the ‘Turtle’ group can be followed on Facebook Finn Wheelers Cycling Club where your messages of support can be left.
Your support is very much appreciated for Donegal Hospice which provides ‘comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care for individuals and families promoting the highest quality of living during life-limiting illness and bereavement.’
