Two Donegal jockeys, Dylan Browne McMonagle and Oisin Orr , added to their win tally for the season over the weekend.
Dylan Browne McMonagle was in action in Naas and was involved in three races, but took his win in the Lacey’s Plumbing And Heating Supplies Apprentice Handicap.
The Letterkenny man came from the middle of the pack on 8/1 shot Born Invincible, to lead with a furlong to go and held on well for the victory ahead of Eleuthera.
The Gerard O’Leary trained horse picked up his first win in nearly two years, with Browne McMonagle riding the horse for the first time
Meanwhile, across the Irish Sea, Oisin Orr picked up another win for Richard Fahey.
Orr was announced as the stable jockey for Fahey last month, and the duo have teamed up well since, and this time the win came on 13/2 shot Ramazan at Haydock in the bet365 Nursery Handicap.
Oisin got to work on Ramazan with just over a furlong to lead in the six furlong race, and went clear to win by two and a half lengths from Signora Camacho.
Orr followed up his win at Haydock with another win today in Ayr.
Orr was on board the Lucinda Russell trained Flylikeaneagle, who coasted towards runaway leader Highlight Reel, and upon taking the lead he began to push to fight for a hard earned win on the 11/1 shot.
