A man has died following a two-car collision near Manorcunningham.

Gardaí say it happened on the N13 at Sharon Glebe between Newtowncunningham and Manor shortly before 11pm last night.

A driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at Letterkenny University Hospital a short time later.

The other driver escaped with non-life-threatening injuries.

Local diversions are in place and Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
