Ciara Kearns took home the silver medal in the long jump at the World Masters Championships in Finland on Tuesday.
The Finn Valley AC athlete leaped out to 5.55m as she finished runner-up in the Ratina Stadium in the city of Tampere.
Kearns was in the lead going into the W35 final round and she added to her own best on the day as she made 5.58, but was edged out by Helena Dinnissen.
The New Zealand athlete’s final jump of the competition was the winner, as she jumped out to 5.68m to take the gold medal.
Anouk Lejeune-Forafo from France won the bronze medal, with a best of 5.52m.
