A man contacted us this week to express his disgust after discovering that a van driver had blocked access to disabled parking bays in Ballyshannon.
The UK registered van (pictured) had parked across the three reserved spots at the Saimer Court Shopping Centre in Ballyshannon.
“I am sick and tired of ignorant people like this – I am a disabled person living in Ballyshannon,” the man said.
“I’m slowly trying to get out more. I have good days and bad days. I try my best not to park in those spaces unless I really need to. Today was one of these days that my legs were sore and I couldn’t walk far.
“I was just going to McGahern butchers and these people were working in Saimer Court and took up the three disabled spots and they couldn’t give a damn.”
The man said this is happening ‘too often’ around the town and asked drivers to be more considerate.
