Successful day for Finn Harps underage teams

Finn Harps under-14s and under-17s picked up wins today in the National Underage League in a great day for the academy, with the 2010 development squad winning the Galway Cup.

The under-14s welcomed Longford Town to Finn Park and put in an excellent performance to defeat their opponents 6-0.

Goals came from Shane Sweeney, Ciaran Conaghan, Josh Cullen, Gavin McAteer and Rowan McGroarty.

Gavin McAteer was man of the match for the Donegal side in the emphatic win.

Meanwhile, the under-17 side travelled to Ferrycarrig Park to take on Wexford FC.

The young team made the long journey to Wexford and will be happy on the trip home as they scored late on to win 3-2.

And in Galway, the Finn Harps 2010 Development Squad picked up the Galway Cup after winning 5-1 in the final against St. Brendan’s Park.
