Michael Harris was again on form from the penalty spot as he scored in the shootout to help his Colorado Rapids 2 side win 5-4 on penalties over Minnesota United 2 in the MLS Next Pro Western Conference.
The Convoy man was brought on as a late sub again as the two sides were drawing 3-3 and scored his penalty along with teammates Ralph Priso, Anthony Markanich, Robinson Aguirre and Dantouma Toure also netted, while goalkeeper Abraham Rodriguez saved from Sagir Arce.
Tommy Wiliamson scored a hat-trick for the away side at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, while Toure and Yosuke Hanya scored either side of a Darren Yapi penalty, who was sent off in injury time.
Harris also scored in a 3-2 penalty shootout win last time out against Vancouver Whitecaps 2 as the game ended in a draw.
Harris moved to the American side earlier this year after his contract with Derry City ended.
Despite being tabled a new pro deal by Derry manager Ruaidhrí Higgins, Harris opted make the move across the Atlantic.
