Popular Donegal Rose, Katie McAteer, has raised just over €3,000 for her favourite local charity!

The Rathmullan lady met representatives of the Lough Swilly RNLI yesterday evening to hand over the cheque.

“As part of her Rose of Tralee journey she has raised €3080 for charity and has chosen Lough Swilly RNLI as one of her causes,” an RNLI spokesperson said.

“We thank Katie for her generosity and congratulate her on becoming the Donegal Rose. We wish Katie every success in Tralee.”
