Donegal Gardaí have received recent reports that missed calls are being received from a (+94) prefix number.
Should you receive a call from this type of number, please ignore it and do not return the call.
“This sounds very much like a Wangiri Scam,” a garda spokesperson said.
This is a one-ring scam. The phone rings once and once you return the missed call you will be re-routed to a premium rate number overseas and will be subsequently billed exorbitant rates for the privilege of listening to pre-recorded messages.
