Finn Valley’s Mark English and Letterkenny AC’s Ann Marie McGlynn have been voted Donegal’s Senior Athletes of the Year.
English, who picked up a bronze in the 800 metres at the recent European Championships, was also named Overall Athlete of the Year.
The Donegal Athletics Board chose the winners at a meeting yesterday.
The following are the athletes who were chosen:
Senior Female: Ann Marie McGlynn
Senior Male: Mark English
Master Female: Ciara Kearns
Master Male: Martin Kerr
Junior Female: Lucy McGlynn
Junior Male: Fintan Dewhirst.
Overall Athlete of the Year: Mark English
A spokesperson for the Donegal Athletics Board said “Congratulations to all the Athletes, Coaches and Clubs. This has been a phenomenal year for Donegal Athletics, and it’s not over yet.”
