A Donegal business studies teacher has been invited to join a delegation to Brussels to discuss finance issues.

Evan Gorrell teaches at Errigal College in Letterkenny.

He said he is ‘thrilled’ to announce that, along with nine others from across the EU, he has been invited to meet with MEP Mairead McGuinness.

“We will further discuss our vision for the future of finance at a policy dialogue in Brussels as part of the European Year of Youth,” Mr Gorrell said.

He added that make every use of the opportunity to get his ideas across.

“This dialogue will be an excellent opportunity to discuss my ideas on how to make private investment more sustainable, the importance of digitalisation for financial inclusion, and my recommendations to improve the financial literacy of all EU citizens.”

He concluded that the opportunity would not have been possible without the support received during his studies at The School of Education in Thurles and will undoubtedly be of benefit to me in the Business classroom at Errigal College.
