Dungloe manager Dessie Gallagher praised ‘one of the best in the county’ in Danny Rodgers as the Dungloe ‘keeper made two great saves to help Dungloe advance to the IFC semi-finals.
Naomh Muire had three early goal chances in the first-half, with one coming off the woodwork, while Rodgers made fantastic stops to keep the other two out and deservedly was praised by his manager.
“Danny’s one of the best keepers in the county probably the second best if not the best and that’s what he does day in day out.
Dessie added: “We’re lucky to have him.”
Rodgers wasn’t the only one getting plenty of praise, as Dessie was happy with the squad as a whole, praising the quality of the starting side and bench.
“We have boys that should be on the team that are on the subs and can come in at any time.”
He also commended the tough opposition in Naomh Mhuire, who were right in the game until very late on, adding: “We knew what they’d bring and it took until the last five minutes to get a couple of goals at the end to win the game.
