An abandoned collie pup has found a stunning new home- in Scandinavia!
Millie was rescued by Animals In Need from the Letterkenny dog pound a few months ago.
Whilst in foster care, Millie was spayed and fully vaccinated, including having the rabies vaccine to enable her to receive her Pet Passport which allowed her to travel overseas.
A spokesperson for AIN said Millie was a wonderful dog who was cared for so well by her fosterer.
“She is a wonderful dog in every way, greeting her AIN fosterer every morning with a big hug, placing her paws around her fosterer’s neck and gazing deep into her eyes.”
Amazingly a family from Sweden heard about Millie and got in touch.
Arrangements were made to transport Millie to Scandinavia where she is now enjoying a new life in Sweden.
The AIN spokesperson added “Millie has found the perfect home in Sweden with a loving family that includes two teenagers, all of whom adore her already and she is having a fantastic time, enjoying exploring the forests during daily walks.
“It is hard parting with a foster animal that you have forged such a bond with, and her fosterer was very sad to see her go but also delighted that Millie has found such a fantastic forever home.
“Wishing Millie and her new family a long and happy future together!”
