Gardaí are investigating a case of criminal damage in a home in Carrigart where a garden hose pipe was left running indoors for approximately one month.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 28th August and 15th September at Dunmore Cottages, a popular holiday home area.

The owner arrived back this week to discover a garden hose inside the back boiler with the water left running. Gardaí say the water may have been left running for a period of a month.

An appeal is underway for any information in relation to the crime. Anyone who can assist gardaí is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on 0749153060.
