A dominant second half from Letterkenny Gaels sees them reach the Junior Football Championship Final after defeating Na Rossa.

Letterkenny Gaels 0-12 Na Rossa 0-10

The Letterkenny men conceded just one point in the second half while Ronan Frain’s four points proved vital.

Na Rossa got off to a flying start with four points from play in the opening six minutes, through Aidan McHugh, John Paul McCready and two from Cillian Bonner.

McHugh pointed from a free again, while Frain and Cormac Cannon scored frees for Letterkenny Gaels.

Cannon scored another free and Sean McDonagh made it a one point game at 0-5 to 0-4 in Na Rossa’s favour.

Bonner pointed again and Frain scored a 45 before a first free from Bonner gave Na Rossa a two point lead.

Diarmuid Ó Cathail brought the Letterkenny side to within a point but Na Rossa pulled ahead again with McHugh getting another score.

Frain converted a free as it was 0-9 to 0-7 to Na Rossa at half-time.

Gaels would soon go ahead however, as they pointed three without reply through Brian Diver and Conor McBrearty while Frain scored another free.

Na Rossa levelled with their only point of the half but Gaels continued to dominate, with Diver and Frain pointing from play to guide them into the final with a 0-12 to 0-10 win which will see them meet Carndonagh in the final.
