Dylan Browne McMonagle landed a Group 3 win yesterday in the Coolmore U S Navy Flag Concorde Stakes in Tipperary.

The Letterkenny jockey was on board 5/2 favourite Statement for Joseph O’Brien, on who he won a listed race just five days previous.

It was an impressive win for the pair, sitting in a good position in the seven and a half furlong race, before taking the leader with less than two furlongs to go, before quickening in the final furlong to win by a massive five and a half lengths from 11/4 second favourite Current Option.

It’s a sixth win in 14 days for Browne McMonagle and a 43rd in Ireland this year.

Meanwhile, Oisin Orr was back in the winners enclosure on Saturday as he won in Redcar.

Orr returned to winning ways on 11/4 shot Lady Mojito for Richard Fahey in the racingtv.com/freetrial EBF Stallions Novice Stakes.

A similarly impressive win to Browne McMonagle’s, the Ramelton man won the seven and a half furlong race also by five and a half lengths from 7/1 shot Maltese Falcon.
