Donegal County Council have paid out almost €1 million on public injury claims over the last five years, according to the Irish Independent.
The figure amounted to €992,572 as a total of €150 million has been paid out across the country in the five year period.
Donegal was among the lowest in the country for the number claims for tripping and falling on pathways, a total of 56.
This equates to 33 people per 100,000, the lowest of the 25 counties who gave information, with Laois next on the list at 56 people per 100,000.
On average, five people sue the council every day in the country.
Cork County and City Council did not provide any information to the newspaper.
