Letterkenny Garda Tina Fowley is to retire after 32 years in the community.

Garda Fowley joined the force in 1990. Over three decades, she has become a familiar face to many in the community, a trusted public servant and has played an active role in representing the Donegal branch of An Garda Siochana locally and nationally.

Garda Fowley was honoured with the Paul Harris Fellow Award by the Letterkenny Rotary Club this year in recognition of her exceptional service to the community.

But the time has come for her to hang up her Garda cap, and her colleagues have wished her a Happy Retirement and a well-earned break.

A spokesperson said: “It has been a pleasure to have worked alongside you Tina and you will be sorely missed by us all. We hope that you enjoy this new chapter of your life and we wish you many happy and healthy years ahead. Congratulations on your retirement and enjoy the very well deserved rest!”
