O’Donnell Park sets the scene for a massive day of Minor Football Championship Finals in Donegal on Bank Holiday Monday.
The double header sees Glenswilly take on Four Masters in the Division 1 Cup final, and is preceded by the Division 2 Cup final between Malin and Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin.
Glenswilly, last year’s beaten finalists, have looked impressive and did so again when beating Naomh Conaill in the semi-final by 1-10 to 0-4, with Donegal minor Daithi Gildea looking a threat, scoring 1-2.
But they’ll be taking on a Four Masters side that were taken to extra-time against Termon at MacCumhaill Park last week, with substitute Conor McCahill scoring a vital goal in extra-time as the Donegal Town men won by 2-9 to 1-8.
Throw-in is at 2.30pm but in the earlier game, Malin take on Muff after being pushed all the way in a tense encounter with Dungloe.
Malin won in the quarter-final by 6-8 to 4-6 over Letterkenny Gaels, but had a tougher test when they edged out Dungloe by 0-10 to 0-8.
And they’ll be expecting another tough test when they take on Muff, who were second to Malin in the league.
Malin won that encounter but finished just a point ahead of Muff after drawing with Buncrana.
Muff didn’t have it easy in their semi-final either, a one point win came over Carndonagh as they won 1-14 to 3-7 in Burt.
Meanwhile, Naomh Bríd and St. Naul’s will replay their Division 2 Shield Semi-final tomorrow at 12pm in Bundoran.
And in the Division 3 Cup Final, Burt and Red Hughs meet in Lifford at 12pm.
