A college student from Buncrana has been invited by Trinity College to take part in research into brain tumours.
Adam McGlinchey graduated from Trinity College in Dublin last week finishing top boy with a first class honors degree in human genetics.
He is a past pupils of Scoil Iosagain and Crana College Buncrana.
Now he has taken a further step in his career after being invited by Trinity College to do his Phd in which he has taken on a major research project into brain tumours.
As part of his Phd Adam will attend surgeries at Beaumont hospital as surgeons investigate medical treatments of a very rare and aggressive brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme.
