Luke O’Donnell started again last night as Ireland made it a second consecutive penalty shoot-out win in the Victory Shield.
The Buncrana native has started both games, which has seen Ireland defeat both Wales and Northern Ireland after drawing in normal time.
The Wales game ended 2-2 as Ireland came from behind twice through Richard Vodo’s header and Matthew Murray’s long range strike drew Paul Osam’s side level in Tramore.
Ireland ‘keeper Joe Collins saved two penalties as they won 5-4.
And in a similar fashion to their match against Northern Ireland, the visitors took the lead but Mason Melia equalised with a header, while Marcus Gill saved three penalties as Ireland would win the shootout 3-1.
Ireland take on Scotland on Friday in their final game, needing a win to take the Victory Shield.
