Dylan Browne McMonagle wins at Naas and retains Champion Apprentice title

Dylan Browne McMonagle took a winner at Naas at the final flat race meeting of the season, as he retains his Irish Flat Champion Apprentice jockey crown.

Today’s win at Naas was the Letterkenny man’s 52nd win of the 2022 season as he is well clear of Mikey Sheehy in second place.

Browne McMonagle’s win today was on Cavallo Pazzo for trainer Eoin Doyle in the Sobac Healthy Soil soil.ie Maiden.

The pair won by one and a half lengths in the six furlong race.

Browne McMonagle sat Cavallo Pazzo in second before leading with two furlongs to go and went clear of second place Diamondsinthesand.

Browne McMonagle has enjoyed a successful year, highlighted by his first group 1 winner in September on Al Riffa at the Curragh.
