Letterkenny Chamber and CoLab North West held a very successful business meet-up event during the week.

Network Manager at Tech Northwest Skillnet, and owner of Grant Connections, Siobhan Grant, was the guest speaker at the gathering at CoLab in Letterkenny.

Grant Connections, a consultancy firm that Siobhan established in 2006, specialises in helping small businesses.

Siobhan recalled working in the family business in Fahan as a teenager – the Grants owned Roneragh House in Fahan and also ran a tobacco exporting company – before moving into the accountancy sector.

She worked as a business advisor with the Donegal County Enterprise Board before setting up her own business 16 years ago and has recently secured her first international client.

Siobhan also spoke about the training opportunities Tech Northwest Skillnet offers to businesses.

Speaking after the event, Marie Shields, Business Development Executive with Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, said the event was a timely opportunity for Letterkenny Chamber members and businesses located at CoLab to network.

“It was a lovely morning where we met new members and longstanding members and everyone in the room connected,” Ms Shields said.

“We were delighted to get the opportunity to network and discuss Letterkenny Chamber’s activities and plans,” she commented.

“Thanks to Siobhan Grant for speaking at our event from an active Chamber member perspective, and offering us all an insight into the international expansion of Grant Connections, as well as the training opportunities Tech North West Skillnet can provide for businesses.

“We also extend a massive thank you to Patsy Donaghy and Michelle Reynolds at CoLab Northwest for hosting the event. It was a brilliant space for gathering and presenting,” the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce Business Development Executive added.
