Ciaran Coll has signed a new one-year deal with Derry City, keeping him at the club for the 2023 season.
The St Johnston man has been at The Candystripes since 2018 when he joined from local rivals Finn Harps.
Coll made 21 appearances for the Premier Division runners-up, coming on in the last ten minutes of their 4-0 FAI Cup final win over Shelbourne in the Aviva Stadium last month.
Coll said: “Ruaidhri has put together a fantastic squad at the club and competition for places is fierce.”
“It was great to finish last season with a trophy and while we enjoyed the celebrations, we’ll back in pre-season soon and focused on going again.”
“I’m delighted to be part of it and like all the lads I’ll be working as hard as I can for my place.”
The 31-year-old was in and out of the team this season, with an injury scare leaving him out for a number of games, as he was taken off against Bohemians following a 15 minute delay before he was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital.
Meanwhile, former Harps striker Tunde Owolabi has joined Cork City.
Owolabi joined St. Patrick’s Athletic last year for the 2022 season after a successful season at the Donegal side, where he quickly became a fan favourite.
Cork City got promoted to the Premier Division at the second attempt, following relegation in 2020.
