Three boys aged have died after falling through an icy lake in Solihull in the West Midlands, police have confirmed.

The boys aged eight, 10 and 11, were pulled from a frozen lake at Babbs Mill Park on Sunday afternoon.

A fourth boy, aged six, remains in critical condition in hospital.

All four boys were in cardiac arrest when rescue teams pulled them out. Three of them “could not be revived”, police said.

Search teams are continuing to search the lake until they are “100% certain” there are no other victims.
