Top Donegal beauty businesses scoop national awards

Three popular Donegal beauty businesses are celebrating success at the Irish Beauty Industry Awards 2022.

The Shandon Hotel Spa, Lifford Beautician Tara McGavigan and Creative Hairdressing in Ardara all scooped top awards at the beauty professionals recognition event.

Top aesthetic specialists gathered at Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel on Sunday, December 11 for a night full of celebration.

The luxurious seaside Shandon Hotel & Spa won Resident Spa of the Year (pictured above). The hotel was also shortlisted for Spa Team of The Year.

The Shandon spa is an award-winning adult only luxury spa. Among its many features are new Private Hire Bayview Tubs, Luxury Thermal Spa comprising lounge bar, vitality pool, massage jets, heated loungers, foot spa, salt & eucalyptus grotto, herbal sauna, ice fountain and outdoor communal Canadian hot tub overlooking the bay as well as 8 Luxury treatment rooms and hair salon.

Lifford-based businesswoman Tara McGavigan won Beauty Therapist of the Year for her Blush Brow Bar. Tara started her own business in 2018, through hard work and dedication she has built up her loyal clientele. Tara offers a range of treatments, now specialises in brows and lashes and will be offering reflexology in 2023.

The Creative Hairdressing team in Ardara also proved they are a cut above the rest by winning the overall 5 Star Hair Salon award, as well as the regional north award!

The 4th Irish Beauty Industry Awards 2022 is an event dedicated to those who work hard and make their clients look and feel confident.

Creative Oceanic launched the Beauty Industry Awards 4 years ago and the company has successfully delivered the event in Scotland and England, increasing the brand’s national appeal recognition.
