Fergus McGee has been named as the new Chairman of the Donegal GAA, succeeding Mick McGrath.
The St.Eunan’s man won by a vote of 87-77 against Buncrana’s Paul McGonigle by 87 to 77 in the voting.
With the outgoing John McEniff as PRO, Gaeil Fhánada’s Fiona Shiels took the vote with a total of 85 after the second count, to Convoy’s Sinéad Breen on 76.
For coaching officer, Michael McGeehin was re-elected with 103 votes to Gary Boyle’s 60, while Killybegs’ Ed Byrne was re-elected as Assistant Secretary after Sharon McGinty withdrew.
Sean Dunnion was re-elected for the Central Council after Byrne and McGrath both withdrew.
