Residents of a group of housing estates in Letterkenny have called for answers following more water issues this Christmas.

Carnamogagh Upper, Mountain Top has seen repeated water disruption over the past 13 years.

This week, residents say they have been without water since Monday. The issue has been reported in Gort Na Gréine, Gleann Tain Manor, Carnamogagh Upper, Letterkenny and surrounding areas.

“We do believe it’s the pump that has broken down yet again. What a horrible time to happen and I’m not even sure I can turn on my oil heating,” said one resident. “We are just so sick of living like this.”

Irish Water and Donegal County Council confirmed today, Wednesday, that they are investigating reports of a supply disruption to Carnamogagh Upper. Updates to follow.
