Met Eireann has issued a status yellow wind alert for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo tomorrow morning.
Strong winds are expected to hit the north west coast throughout Thursday morning. Strong to gale force westerly winds of 50 to 60 km/h, with occasional gusts of 90 to 110 km/hr.
Winds will be strongest in coastal areas with wave overtopping, Met Eireann warns.
The warning is in place from 05:00 to 11:00 Thursday 29th December.
