Donegal County Council gritters will be out in force treating all main roads in the county this afternoon from 4pm.
Staff will also be out on an early call from 5am tomorrow morning.
Tonight will be very cold in Donegal with a widespread severe frost and risk of snow. Temperatures will remain below freezing between -1C and -5C.
An ice warning is in place nationwide until midday Tuesday.
