Sean McGinley set a new 1500m personal best in Dublin last night.
The middle distance runner from Glenswilly crossed the line in an impressive 3:47.86.
Competing at the Track and Field Live meeting, held in the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena, the Finn Valley AC man finished second in the 1500m.
On Saturday, he won gold in the national under-23 1500m final, finishing in 3:52.78.
A student in DCU, McGinley won silver with the Irish Junior team at last month’s European Cross Country Championship in Turin.
